  • Banquet Setup

    Job Description:

    Hawk's View Golf Club is seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our Banquet Setup Crew. This entry-level position involves physical tasks such as moving tables and chairs, setting up event spaces according to diagrams, and ensuring that all banquet areas are prepared for guests. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to provide professional service to our guests.

    Responsibilities:

    • Set up banquet areas according to diagrams and event requirements.
    • Move and arrange tables, chairs, and decorations as needed.
    • Ensure that banquet spaces are clean, organized, and ready for guests.
    • Assist with event teardown and cleanup as directed.
    • Work efficiently and effectively to meet setup deadlines.

    Requirements:

    • Ability to work early morning and day hours, including weekends.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move furniture and equipment.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work off diagrams.
    • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
    • Previous experience in event setup or hospitality is a plus but not required.

  • Busser / Dishwasher

In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our wait staff, maintaining cleanliness in our dining and kitchen areas, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.     Responsibilities:

    • Assist wait staff by clearing tables, refilling beverages, and delivering plates, glasses, and silverware to guests.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including wiping down tables, chairs, and countertops.
    • Collect and wash dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing equipment.
    • Empty trash bins and ensure that waste is disposed of properly and in accordance with sanitation guidelines.

  • Cook

    Job Description:

    We are looking for an ambitious Prep Cook to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. A great prep cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

    Hawk's View is known for it's amazing Fish Fry and was voted "Favorite Fish Fry" in the "2022 Best of Geneva Lake" edition. Our Fish Fry is open year round and usually full each weekend. You'll be responsible for prepping Fish Fry, working the Tail Feathers kitchen, helping the Executive Chef prep for Banquets, Weddings, & Events, and helping where needed around the kitchen.

    This position is perfect for those looking to enter the culinary field following previous education or training. We are open to High School students as well with some knowledge in the culinary field and are looking to expand upon their experiences. Experience is preferred, but Hawk's View is willing to train the right candidate for the position.

    Responsibilities

    • Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
    • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
    • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
    • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
    • Undertake basic cooking duties such as deep-frying, parboiling food, etc.
    • Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, Fish Fry, etc.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
    • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
    • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
    • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned, including dishwashing if one is not scheduled to work

    Skills

    • Proven experience as a prep cook is preferred, but not necessary. We will train the right candidate
    • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
    • Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
    • A team player with good communication skills
    • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure and be quick on their feet
    • Training from a culinary school or classes is an asset, but not required

    • Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and utility vehicles, following all safety protocols and procedures.
    • Assist with irrigation system operation and repair, ensuring proper watering of fairways, greens, and landscaping.
    • Participate in special projects such as course renovations, landscaping enhancements, and event setup as needed.
    • Work collaboratively with the groundskeeping team to achieve daily maintenance goals and uphold the high standards of our golf course.

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred, but not required.
    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot sun, rain, and occasional cold temperatures.
