The fall season is just around the corner, and I can almost taste it. The crisp air, cooler temperatures, and the glorious color show of the changing leaves are coming soon. The fall season is definitely my favorite time of the year in Lake Geneva.
While area beaches, pools, and other outdoor area attractions begin to start shutting down after Labor Day, the golf conditions at this time of year couldn’t be any better! As the temperature and humidity finally begin to subside, the greens tend to run quicker and truer, the grass is as lush as can be, and the comfort level of being on the links is second to none.
And contrary to popular belief, Lake Geneva does not “shut down” after Labor Day. In fact, there are events almost every day in September and October (www.visitlakegeneva.com/events). Some upcoming popular area events include Maxwell Street Days (August 24-27) where downtown shops begin to clear out their summer merchandise to make room for the winter stuff, and Oktoberfest (October 6-7) which includes family friendly fall activities, as well as a beer tent featuring Hofbrau brews!
What’s the best way to take advantage of pristine golf and the fun-filled activities that Lake Geneva has to offer in the fall? A Stay & Play package that features golf at Hawk’s View and an overnight stay at Harbor Shores hotel, which is located in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva!
Starting September 3rd, the Stay & Play package rates begin to reduce, with two more reductions on September 24th and October 8th.
